Our Story

K-Edge Cycling Solutions brand was born from one simple product, Kristin Armstrong’s Chain Catcher - later to be called K-Edge Chain Catcher. The K-Edge Chain Catcher is a purposeful design that was engineered for a single goal: help Kristin Armstrong win the Gold at the 2008 Olympic Games. While we wouldn’t be so arrogant to suggest the K-Edge was the reason Kristin took gold, it’s a common sense design that provides functional and mental advantages for high performance cyclists. The K-Edge is also perfect for anyone who likes to keep their chain in place, improve shifting performance, and protect their frame from damage caused by a derailed chain.

The original one-off K-Edge prototype was used in Kristin’s 2008 Gold Medal Ride. It attracted enough attention from the pro cycling world that the production K-Edge debuted in the Pro Tour peloton at the 2009 Paris-Roubaix and was used by several teams in the 2009 Tour de France. In addition to having the K-Edge on international and domestic professional teams, we also have world and national championship title rides on the road and cyclocross.

In a short period of time we have expanded our K-Edge product offering to include components for road, mountain, and cyclocross. While our focus has been on providing intelligent solutions for the elite level of our sport, the same solutions that the pros ride are available to cyclists of all abilities.

Finite Ski Tools
AceCo’s President, Raliegh Jensen has been ski racing for over 30 years and he passed his love for the sport onto his sons, Eric and Joe. Many in the Western U.S. ski community know the Jensen brother’s as ski racers and still top level master’s athletes. They each have won multiple medals at both the World Masters Championships and National Masters Championships; including gold in their respective age groups. Raliegh, also brought his sons into the manufacturing business and each has run a Division of AceCo for over ten years.

The Finite Finish Structure Tool is World Cup tested and proven and is manufactured using the highest quality processes and components. Because of AceCo’s manufacturing capabilities, we are able to offer the Finite Finish Structure Tool as cost effective and obtainable whereas the European tools cost up to US$2000. This quality and price point makes the Finite Finish tool the industry standard. Our goal is to get them into the hands of racers at a reasonable and affordable price rather than just for use by National and Elite teams.

AceCo Sport Group is the design and management group responsible for the K-Edge and Finite Ski Tool brands. AceCo Sport Group utilizes AceCo’s vast manufacturing capabilities and advanced engineering technology to create products used at the highest level of sport. Both K-Edge Chain Catchers and Finite Finish Structure Tools were used by several nations in World Championships and the last Summer and Winter Olympics Games. How did an industrial manufacturer get involved in sport products? For both cycling and nordic ski racing we were approached by coaches and athletes looking for unique solutions. We produced solutions that outperform and were far more advanced compared to the standard product offerings.
